The VDSA Environment & Food Security program focuses on how food and nourishment can be sustainably and equitably produced and distributed.
Asylum Seekers Centre Lunch Group
Since 2012, VDSA volunteers have been providing free, hot, home-cooked meals to groups of up to 50 clients of the asylum seekers’ centre in Newtown.
VDSA community garden
The VDSA community garden grows organic, seasonal produce in Bronte, which is then donated to local charities such as Our Big Kitchen, where it is used to feed those in need.
